It's Just Another Manic Monday

The Bangles, grupo ochentero conformado por cuatro mujeres: Susanna Hoffs, Debbi Peterson, Vicky Peterson y Michael Stelle. De los tantos temas y discos que tienen, sólo tres singles han perdurado en el tiempo. Como en los 80's la moda de la música era lo más "hot", muchos grupos brotaban como una plaga y cada uno poseía su "one hit", osea su único éxito de la absurda cantidad de 3 o 4 discos por grupo. Pocos han perdurado hasta ahora, The Bangles es uno de ellos. Recién el 2003 sacaron su último disco "Doll Revolution". Cuando lo terminé de oír, me di cuenta que no se alejaron mucho de sus raices, pero ahora "eletrotecnizaron" más sus temas, osea los llevaron del pop ochentero al electro-pop. Aún así, posee cierto encanto. Para mí sus discos "Different Lights" y "Everything" han sido los mejores.

Durante los 90's, Susanna Hoffs se hizo solista y publicó una serie de discos. Su disco debut como solista "When You're A Boy" es el mejor a mi parecer. En el 2006, junto a Matthew Sweet, hizo un disco cover de varios temas de grupos famosos. El sonido es muy bueno, aún así hubiera esperado algo mejor.
En todo caso, Susanna Hoffs me encanta. Su voz se aleja mucho de su edad, lo mismo que la voz de Buddy Richard. Tiene una voz infantil muy angelical.
